Fully insured, police-checked, first aid trained and holder of a Diploma in Professional Pet-sitting, Furry Feet offers a personal and trustworthy pet-care service. I specialise in cat and rabbit care but have also looked after guinea pigs, rats and chickens over the years. I do not offer any services for dogs.

Furry Feet is owned and operated by myself, Lucy van Biljon. After 12 years working in journalism and PR, doing everything from interviewing politicians to helping to launch new radio stations, I decided to follow my dream to work with animals and set up Furry Feet in 2008. It was the best decision I ever made and I love what I do.

I have had pets for over 20 years and, with my husband Marc, currently share our home with fluffball brother and sister Leo and Poppy, sprightly long-haired ten-year-olds who we rehomed after losing our lovely old girl Lily Pad early in 2013. We also have bosom buddy bunnies Brian and Betty who are inseparable and like nothing better than hopping round the garden together for a good explore.

To further my understanding of animal behavior and to add to my existing qualifications, I have a Diploma in Professional Pet-sitting (run by www.coape.co.uk) and have also completed an animal first aid course. I’m currently enrolled on a Feline Studies course with Compass Education and Training which covers feline physiology, nutrition and common health problems.

Furry Feet is a member of NARP, the National Association of Registered Pet-Sitters – www.dogsit.com. This membership includes a 24/7 vet advice line and a full insurance policy for added peace of mind.
